For fishing trips at Whitby the Libby is one of the port’s longest serving charter vessels. The boat is proudly owned and maintained to the highest of standards by skipper Ken Graham.

The Libby is a traditional South Coast Carvel built wooden boat built by John Berry in 1976, of Iroko and Oak.

It is one of Whitby’s longest serving charter vessels and has been taking Fishing trips out of Whitby since the early 1980s.

Libby is renowned locally for its sea keeping ability and is probably one of the most stable boats in Whitby for your comfort.

It has recently gone through a major refit and was returned to service only a few years ago. Libby can achieve a speed of 5 to 8 knots depending on the wind and tide – not a great deal of speed but fast enough!

Libby is well equipped with the latest electronic navigation aids, including 2 electronic chart plotters, radar, and DGMS VHF radio. We also have on board 20 boat rods equipped with Scarborough reels, to ensure you have more time fishing and less time un-tangling!
